pARTners Project Studio is fueled by ability and the creative process. The Studio brings together adult artists with intellectual and developmental difference in a safe, supportive studio setting offering structure, facilitation, and person-centered engagement. Each artist practices her/his own approach to art making, and the Studio fosters his/her own unique artistic goals and preferences. Additionally, artists may participate in a class taught by a professional artist, take a field trip to a nearby gallery, exchange ideas and concepts with other “typical” artists, or prepare works for art shows.
Project manager and founder, Amy Bennett, MFA, envisions pARTners Studio as a means of expression and enterprise. In a joint venture with DYEBOO, artists have the option to license their images to be applied to apparel and accessories with a percentage of profits going back to the artists.
